Beckwith & Kuffel, a leading distributor of industrial pumps, compressors and blowers, is seeking an Outside Territory Sales - End User salesperson to help us drive our business forward. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and experience with industrial equipment, and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by following established procedures and accurately quoting prices, terms of sales, delivery dates, etc. This role is remote/on the road, with the candidate expected to reside within 60 minutes of Salem, OR.

CUSTOMERS: Aerospace, Forest Products, Marine, Chemical, Food Processing, Seafood, General Industrial, Municipal, Military and Government.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications of the Outside Territory Sales Person include, but are not limited to:
- 3-5 years of outside sales industrial experience, with Technical or Engineering degree preferred
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, other fluid (compressible and non-compressible) handling equipment, service and repair of industrial equipment
- Able to work independently to achieve targeted results
- Well organized & self-motivated
- Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
- Effective negotiating skills
- Project management experience and teamwork skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of the Outside Territory Sales Person include, but are not limited to:
- Create opportunities
- Foster customer relationships and trust
- Spend time in the field making sales calls to industrial end user plants, the corresponding main offices, and consulting firms (NOTE: sales & technical support to outside sales force will be provided by insides sales team for parts, repair service and new applications)
- Use the Company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System to full advantage for knowledge and customer information
- Record all opportunities, sales calls, and sales activities in CRM. Record service items in CRM.
- Promote & encourage sales growth and “profit management” to ensure a profitable future for customers and the company
- Understand & implement policy to achieve both customer & company goals
- Work closely with Sales, Service Department and Vendors to facilitate the sales effort and meet customer requirements
- Aid in the design and development of equipment, systems, and redesign of existing systems
- Facilitate prompt remedy of customer technical problems, complaints, and failures
- Maintain Invitation Lists for Training Sessions. Maintain Target Lists for Accounts/Products
