This year marks the association's 50th anniversary. The tour was part of the agenda of the WBRA's annual meeting on March 6 through 8, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in Renton. The meeting included educational presentations, networking, vendor displays, and food and entertainment for members and vendors.

The Western Regional Boiler Association, formed in 1968, is a nonprofit organization made up of professional power boiler operators from the Western U.S. and Canada. It provides members with information, education and networking to assist in the operation, maintenance, engineering and design of facilities that employ boilers of all sizes.
